Ashley Valenzuela is an inventive Mexican-American cinematographer from San Jose, CA.

Her visual approach in storytelling is brutally honest & tender, capturing untold stories of underrepresented groups and forming deeper connections beyond the screen.

The focus of her work centers on creating a deeper emotional connection to the characters on screen, while also advocating for women empowerment and Latine representation in front of and behind the camera.

She is a proud member of International Cinematographer's Guild - Local 600.

She specializes in narrative and dramatic stories and is looking to expand her experiences in commercial, corporate & documentary work.

Her work has been featured in Director’s Library as well as film festivals such as Poppy Jasper International Film Festival, Cinequest Film Festival, HAAPIFEST, Night of Shorts, Bay Made, and Crested Butte Film Festival.
